In short
We use enquiry details to answer your message and discuss the work. We do not sell personal information or add enquiries to a marketing list. The form sends through our server, while the website keeps advertising trackers and analytics out of this experience.
Who is responsible
KalkiWeb is operated by KalkiCore Pty Ltd in Yamba, NSW, Australia. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” mean KalkiCore Pty Ltd.
For privacy questions, contact admin@kalkiweb.com.au.
Information we collect
When you contact us, we may collect your name, email address, company, project type and the information you include in your message. Company details on the enquiry form are optional.
If we discuss or deliver a project, we may also keep correspondence, meeting notes, proposals, agreements, invoices and information needed to provide the agreed service.
Our hosting and email providers may process ordinary technical records, such as IP addresses, browser information, request times, requested pages, response status and email delivery information. These records help operate and protect the services.
Please do not put passwords, payment card details, health information or other sensitive material in an enquiry. We can agree a suitable channel if confidential information is needed for a project.
Public project previews
The concepts on our Work page, including Rivet, Relay and Fieldline, show how we design and build websites and applications. They use illustrative names and sample data, with no customer information displayed.
The interactive examples on Home, Studio and Lab also use sample content. You can explore their interfaces without connecting to a customer account or a live business system.
Information shared through an enquiry or project discussion is handled for the purposes set out in this policy. We do not use that information as content for these public demonstrations.
How the enquiry form works
We usually collect information directly from you. When you submit this website’s enquiry form, the details are sent to our server for validation and then forwarded to admin@kalkiweb.com.au through our email service. You do not need to open a separate email application.
The form uses a temporary security session, request checks and rate limits to help prevent automated abuse. Rate limit records contain a keyed hash derived from the IP address and attempt counts, rather than the enquiry message. Hosting logs may separately contain the original IP address.
A success message confirms that the form service accepted the submission for email delivery. Email filtering or a later delivery problem can still affect receipt. If you do not receive a reply, you can contact us directly.
Cookies and browser storage
This version of the website does not use advertising trackers or analytics services. Fonts and visual assets are served with the site, rather than requested from a third party font service.
The enquiry service uses an essential session cookie to protect the form and recognise valid submission requests. It is not used for advertising or to track you across other websites. Disabling cookies may prevent the form from working.
Motion follows your device’s setting for reduced motion.
The Home and Lab desk activities, Website Studio choices, Studio page examples and Relay assignments keep changes in page memory. This includes sample task text you enter in Studio. These interactions are not submitted to our server or saved in browser storage. Refreshing resets them, although your browser’s back and forward navigation may restore the page and its state.
Fieldline is different: choosing Save on this browser stores your sample reports, including the site name, condition, note and save time, in that browser. They can remain after a refresh and are not uploaded to KalkiWeb. Use Clear saved demo data in the preview to remove them, or clear this website’s data in your browser settings.
Project planner answers stay in page memory. They are not submitted to our server or saved in site storage. Refreshing resets the planner, but your browser’s back and forward navigation may restore the page and its answers. Copying or downloading the brief happens only when you choose that action. A copy you download remains on your device until you remove it.
Fieldline also lets you export sample reports as a text file when you choose Export text. Clearing browser data does not delete files you have already downloaded. Please use sample information in the demonstrations and avoid personal, customer or confidential details.
Why we use information
We use the information you provide to answer your enquiry, understand the proposed work, prepare a proposal and communicate with you. If a project proceeds, we use relevant information to deliver and support it, administer the relationship and maintain necessary business records.
Technical information is used to operate the website, troubleshoot faults and reduce misuse. We may also handle information where needed to meet a legal obligation or respond to a lawful request.
We do not sell personal information. Sending an enquiry does not subscribe you to a marketing list.
Processing outside Australia
Hosting, email and other technology providers may operate infrastructure or support services outside Australia. Information may therefore be processed in other countries, depending on the provider and the service used.
If you need details of the recipients or locations involved in a particular project before sharing information, contact us. We will check the relevant service arrangements and discuss any location requirements as part of the scope.
Security and retention
We use safeguards suited to the information and the service, including encrypted website connections, form validation on the server and restricted access to email settings. No website, device or email system can be guaranteed completely secure.
We keep enquiries and project records while they are reasonably needed for the conversation, service, support, business records or a legal requirement. The appropriate period depends on the record and the reason for keeping it. When records are no longer needed, we take reasonable steps to delete or remove identifying details, subject to backup and retention arrangements.
The enquiry rate limit mechanism uses short counting windows and routine cleanup of older records. Provider security and access logs may have their own retention arrangements.
Access, correction and choices
You can browse the site without making an enquiry. To respond through the form, we need a name, a usable email address and enough project information to understand the request. You can also contact us directly by email.
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or ask us to correct inaccurate information. Email admin@kalkiweb.com.au with enough detail to identify the relevant records. We may ask for information to verify that the request comes from the right person.
We will respond within a reasonable period. If we cannot complete a request, we will explain why and any available next steps. You can also ask us to stop nonessential contact or remove information, subject to records we need to retain.
Questions and complaints
If you are concerned about the way we have handled your information, email admin@kalkiweb.com.au with “Privacy complaint” in the subject line. Explain what happened and how you would like the issue resolved.
We will acknowledge the complaint, review the relevant information and aim to provide a written response within 30 days. We will let you know if more time is needed.
If the issue is unresolved and the matter is within its jurisdiction, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
Keeping this policy up to date
We will update this page when our website or information handling practices change. The revision date identifies the current version.
This policy explains the practices described here. It is not a claim that every part of the Privacy Act applies to every interaction with our business, and it does not reduce any rights that apply under the law.
